change management - transformation & deployment:
Commonvision readied the business for the deployment of an ERP, VOIP, ROIP solution for a transportation company paving the way in route and indicative optimization. We also managed the centralization of resources and capabilities from 32 states to a single command center in the state of Illinois. A 100 million dollar initiative.
planning for success:
Commonvision partnered with three big players in Canada - Accenture, Avaya, and Telus to manage the planning phase of a $30 million transformation project. 15,000 lines in a work-plan were transformed into a simple visual road map we call a Journey Map. It became the backbone for communicating change with the business, aligning technology and the business project to the strategy and became the visual executive score card visual tool to see progress, understand risks and create mitigation strategies.
communicating impact:
A $60 million overrun on a major project threatened to shut down an integral part of an international collaboration. Commonvision developed a strategy of solid internal and external communications to ensure the radical realignment of resources was accepted by all bodies. Commonvision stepped in, bringing its forensics and crisis team to act as liaison during tough negotiations which spilled out into the general population forcing down share prices. In a three month turnaround, Commonvision assisted in a milestone realignment and stopped the wholesale loss of internal expertise to a competitor through transparent communications and 24/7 access for international subcontractors.
aligning organizations:
Commonvision worked with two not-for-profit organizations in the medical arena to support the introduction of a new wait time information system for Cardiac Care in Ontario, Canada. Three companies: one had the vision, the other had the money, the third created the application. One had to manage the back end system, the other used it, while the third developed the solution. Alignment was critical in ensuring that service level agreements met business expectations. Functional capabilities had to address the needs of patients and the application had to be delivered in a short period of time. We facilitated alignment sessions, helping create an aligned plan, which met the vision, capabilities, support criteria and most importantly exceeded customer expectations.
simplifying analysis:
We have worked to communicate clarity on projects such as Basel II and SOX compliancy. Commonvision professionals are trained as visual thinkers and have worked with challenged organizations that were deep into the complexity of the requirements. We simplified messages from the experts, managed the business, systems and operational analysis to help create a plan, which clearly identified the blowbacks and value propositions in committing to the change. Our next challenge of simplification challenge is IFRS in Canada.
